Healthcare workers working at California Pacific Medical Center and Sutter Care at Homeare attempting to organize with National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW). Both California Pacific Medical Center and Sutter Care at Home have responded by bringing in the union-busting industry.
According to filings with the Department of Labor, California Pacific Medical Center has hired Healthcare Labor Solutions to meet with, persuade, and intimidate healthcare workers attempting to take advantage of their legally protected right to form a union. Specifically, Gabrielle Mattes, a union-buster, will be meeting with workers.
Sutter Care at Home has also hired Healthcare Labor Solutions. The consultant doing their dirty work will be Rita Tripp.
Both California Pacific Medical Center and Sutter Care at Home are both part of the Sutter Health network.
It's estimated that less than 7% of union-busting campaigns are reported on. LaborLab is changing that and we need your support: Chip-in $5 to help fund our work.
