Dandelion Chocolate Busted a Union in 2021, Violated Workers' Rights
Workers at Dandelion Chocolate in San Francisco, CA tried to form the Dandelion Chocolate Union (DCU) this year as part of ILWU Local 6. DCU went public in March and held their election in April, in the 33 days between, the owner/CEO, Todd Masonis, hired Littler Mendelson, held captive audience meetings, and encouraged managers to vote in the election. While the NLRB was deliberating on which of the challenged ballots to count, Masonis fired one-fourth of the union eligible work force - all vocal union supporters - with no notice. Eventually, the NLRB recognized the union, but the union had to dissolve since the strongest supporters were gone and there was no hope of reaching a fair contract.

Feel free to leave Dandelion Chocolate a review. And be sure to learn more about how to file an unfair labor practice against folks like Masonis who violate workers' Section 7 rights in their campaigns to silence workers... even in places like San Fransisco.
